June Hip Kits - Shine

Okay, here I am, back again with another Hip Kit Club layout!  I have finally gotten a chance to start playing with the June Hip Kits and I am in love with them!  I thought I was in love with the May kits but the June ones are just so beautiful I may have to declare my love for it instead :)  So to begin with, I wanted to use everything, but I did try to pace myself to some degree so that I just didn't end up with a colourful mess all over my page!  For this layout I used 2 cut files created by Kim Watson for subscribers!  I am so happy with how this turned out, and if you want to know exactly how I created check out the process video at the bottom of this post!

She Blooms

Hey it's me and I'm back again!  My blog sure gets a lot more love than it used to!  So I'm back with another Hip Kit Club layout that I made using the May 2016 kits.  This is my fourth layout with the kits and I still have so much that I can use it's kind of crazy!  I am nowhere close to killing this kit, so I think I will try to make a few more projects if I can.  In the meantime though I am here to show my latest layout, in which I took all the florals I had, seriously ALL the florals, and made a page about my daughter.  I wasn't sure if I would like a page so busy and bursting with colour but I am so pleased with how it turned out!  I also got a chance to use that lovely "She Blooms" paper from Bella Blvd's Illustrated Faith collection.  I was a bit hesitant when I saw that we had some products from this line in the kits, as I am not a religious person, but the products we got were so versatile that I had no issues whatsoever incorporating them!  I hope you enjoy and don't forget to click on my process video at the bottom to watch how I struggled but eventually triumphantly completed this layout!

Here is a closeup of one of my floral clusters!

Some Fathers Day Love

Hey it's me, and I managed to get through one crazy crap shoot of a week!  I ended up really sick while taking my son away so he could have surgery, so yeah, it's been a whole heap of fun.  Thankfully everyone is on the mend now and I can get back to my scrap room.  Well it's almost Fathers Day and over at the Hip Kit Club Facebook page and blog we are celebrating fathers, so I made a little layout featuring my hubby!  He is my best friend, my rock, and my biggest supporter, so I wanted to give him a moment to shine in my scrapbook!  I used lots of bits and pieces to create this layout, in almost a grid like fashion.  This is a great way to use up some of the odds and ends you might have at the end of your kit!  Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out my process video for my layout!

Happy Happy Happy!!!

It's been one crazy week.  We are getting prepared as a family to head over to Halifax so that we can take our youngest for surgery at the IWK.  I have been busy prepping and packing, because since my daughter also had an appointment for the IWK on the same day that we would turn it into a tiny family trip.  This is the first time we have ever traveled anywhere with all three kids, and I'll be honest, I'm a little worried.  My kids are rowdy at the best of times, so we will see how this goes!

Well, since I'm leaving Monday I figured I had better get my blog post done for Hip Kit Club so it's ready to go!!  I'm working with the May 2016 Kit and embellishment add-on again this time.  I'm sure there may even be a bit of the project life add on splashed in there, and this time I got my hands dirty with the color add on!

I had so much fun making this layout, since I got to do one of my favorite things, which is combining lots of patterned papers!  I do love using a white background and tend to gravitate towards them, but I am not shy about grabbing bold patterned papers and using them as a background or to create layers!!

Take a look at some close ups too, since I got a chance to use the Shimmerz Paints Dazzlerz in Spun Sugar and the Shimmerz Vibez in Jeni B Bleu.

And here is the finished layout! I just love that bold black and white polka dot paper from Bella Blvd!

Oh and while you're here don't forget to take a peek at my process video for the layout!!!
